Die Cutting Tutorial :: Tissue Paper Flower Bloom Embellishment

I am really pleased with how this flower turned out, from the shows i have been to and products i have seen lately I think Tissue Paper will be an essential!!
This flower is made from 30 layers of £1 shop tissue, a Brad and some promarkers!

Firstly die cut 30 flowers.
I folded my tissue so it was 10 layers thick and then cut 3 shapes the shapes were all on the same die in this case but you can use and flower shapes, nestabilities scalloped circles will also work well!!
If the die does not cut a hole in the centre, just stack up the shapes and use a pokey tool or cropadile to make a hole for the brad
Fasten the flower with a brad and start to scrunch!

This works well as you have 3 layers so it does have some depth
I was quite rough with mine and gave each layer a little spin to seperate the layers

Once you are happy with your scrunching you can colour the flower, i used promarkers and tested some colours on scraps first. i coloured the centre and then tickled the ruffled edges with a contrasting colour until i was happy with the depth of colour!
