Just a little Sunday round-up!

Hello, just wanted to check in, its a bit hectic here as it is Rob's Birthday tomorrow so there is lots of coming and going and I am trying to squeeze some crafting in too!

My craft room as usual, is a tip so there is some tidying being thrown into the mix too, on a tidying note, i have a little plea! Does anyone have any tips for removing sticky stuff from scissor blades without cutting yourself to ribbons?!

I am gearing up for selling some more stuff on my pre loved page over half term (a week tomorrow wooohoooo!!) I always make lots of plans for a school holiday and never get half of them done!

For those of you that have emailed me about the WW diet i started, well i have crashed and burned!! I thought WW may have been the answer but all the weighing and measuring really drives me mad and makes me rebel! Years ago i lots about 4 stone on Slimming world, I am aware it has changed a lot since then but i think i may give it a whirl - any tips feel free to mail me!

Also I think i have mastered the Grnad Nestabilities dies in the Big Shot Pro!! I am just waiting for some plates to be delivered and then you shall have photo tutorials to follow!!

Right then, i have cupcakes to ice.... photos of those tomorrow!

hi,
I know what you mean about the new style WW, I dont go to the classes any more, preferring to go it alone in the house with the old style 'counting up to 20' version - much easier! Good luck!

for sticky scissors, try using baby oil or similar on a cotton wool ball, just fold in half over the sharp edge of the blade and wipe backwards and forwards. Or buy some teflon-coated scissors, I have a couple of decoupage pairs from tesco, the sticky stuff just comes straight off...

For the scissors - I use WD 40 on mine when they get all sticky.

can't help with WW - my friend has just joined and has developed weighing and measuring OCD lol! is driving me barmy.

our half term is this week and what a long week it'll be............

I use an old Stazon rubber stamp cleaner, the felt head saves looking for a cloth and you can leave it in your craft box, hope this helps

Re: sticky scissors, try blue tack first, then nail polish remover on a rag. the acetone in the remover will dissolve the glue.

When I used to work in Homebase we sold a spray called Sticky Stuff Remover - it's in a yellow can and costs about £3. Miracle stuff and smells like lemons x

WD40 works a treat. I got a WD40 pen from either poundland or home bargins which is very handy in the craft room.

Hi Lisa
I swear by 'Sticky Stuff Remover'. Even non-stick scissors sometimes need a clean I find - plus it's great for removing the residue of sticky labels without ruining things. I buy it from my local Kleenezee Rep. but you can buy the very same thing online through Amazon, with free shipping, here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mykal-Sticky-Stuff-Remover-250ml/dp/B000TAT4GM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297671031&sr=8-1

It does smell a bit lemony and you need to wash the slighlty oily residue off but it's GREAT stuff!! And a bottle lasts me for years!

Slimming world is brilliant and there is very little weighing and measuring. Love your blog BTW and try to drop by regularly, you are a wonderful source of tips!

I have always used white spirit - gets any sticky off and cheap as chips!
