I {heart} Hobbycraft and their blue cross sale!

I popped in to hoppycraft yesterday after i had been to work and they had some new addidions to their blue cross sale... the stock in the sale has already been reduced but if it has a blue cross on it then there is a further 30% off - how fab!

They has some loose 12x12 papers on sale, the ones in the photo above are Bo Bunny and were reduced to 89p, the ones below were 39p for the tractors and 49p for the spots - i love red spots on christmas cards!!!

They also had some K&Co in the sale, the paper and embellishments were £4.49 each (whihc is a bit expensive for me!!) but had 30% off that price so i snapped them up!! I love the flowers with brad centres for making my batches of cards and will get 8 cards from a pack using the matching papers they will look fab!

I also snapped up some rolls of the sticky-back-plastic-book-covering-type-film!!
They has some wood grain effect and gingams reduced to just 29p!!!
These will cut on cricuts and robos not to mention sticking to card and whizzing through an embossing folder, i will have a play with these in the holidays and see if i can inspire you!

If you are a card maker they also have cello bags half price, the ones i got were 3.49 for 100 but you can get 50 for 1.99 if you don't use so many, i use them for wrapping gifts etc too and find them great quality, if you hae a bag sealer they also work fab in these so if you buy the ones to fit DL envelopes and use a bag sealer you can use one bag to hold 2 4" cards and that is a bargain!

Crafty Blog post on its way as i have made nothing this week!!!

An Expensive Mistake-a To Make-a!!!

Oh Dear.... That bog hole you are looking at is a big hole in my Big Shot Pro Crease Mat... All £25 of crease mat!!
I got my sandwhich wrong and did not notice that my acrylic plate was under my die (thus making the whole sandwhich a cutting mat too thick!!) On a notmal die sutter it would just say no thank you and not go through, not the BSP it gobbled it through and after the initial dispair i was quite impressed it went through suck a thick solid material!!! Makes me think that this little baby will cut anything (including cutting mats!!)

Well this little experience has set me back £25.00 so i will not be doing it again in a hurry!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!! Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Hey Bloggers... Fancy a nosey at my Birthday pressies???!

First up is a lovely box from Rob's Mum and Dad, i think the box was really to hold the pressies but i LOVE it and it will end up on a shelf in my craft room for sure!
So what was in the box??????

Some scrummy smelling shower wash, 2 bath puffs (as i call them!) and a fab water bottle with a ice pack built in!!!
I also had some money in my card from them - thank you if you are reading xxx

While i am on thank yous... thank you to everyone who has left happy birthday comments, so so kind of you all xxx

Next up is Robs offering
This first one may seem a little odd to some, but let me explain, at the mo i am really trying hard to diet and be a good gym fairy! Normally i would get a scrummy slab of galaxy, but Rob was really thoughtful and got me a magazine!!! Will have a good read later while polishing my gym fairy halo!

Still on the lines of being a good gym fairy... Rob also got me a heart rate monitor, a few of my friends were schocked and said it was a naff pressie, but it is what i had asked for!!! I wanted something that will tell me how many calories i am burning off when i workout and am hoping this will do the job (it is still in its box as i think it will need a good hour dedicating to it!!
I also got to pick a couple of little crafty bits with what was left of Robs hard earned cash! Rob did also get me some little stud earrings but they are in my ears at the mo so no piccies!

The next pressies is just fab, it is SO me and is of my fab and crazy friend Tina

My mum and grandad gave me money for my bday as i want to get a new camera with it, i am not quite sure which camera yet but i think i will have to sell my current camera to go towards it!!
So if anyone out there is looking for a new camera, i have a very well looked after Fujifilm F60fd which i would be happy to part with for £60 plus postage at cost but i will post seperately about that tomorrow!!!

And i am going to leave you with the envelope to my card from Rob, I love him so much and he knows me so well that he never writes on or seals envelopes so i can use them again

Birthday hugs

Oh Such a Terrible Blogger!!

Firstly I really feel the need for the total abandonment of my blog!! It truely has been neglected and my readers have been too!! So big huge sorries from me!
The end of term was a very very manic one, so much so that i am in the office this week trying my bestest to catch up on all those jobs that didn't get done last week!

But on Sunday morning after we had paid our 8am visit to the gym i took myself off to the local car boot, just me! The weather was nice and the boot was huge i wandered for 2hours and didn't get round it all!! But i have taken a few pics of the bits i did get... Above is a pic of a bracelet, i have seen these in primark for a couple of quid, but this cost me just 50p and will be great dismantled and used as spacer beads for making bracelets!

My next bargain was ribbon....

Each little bundle was 10p, i brought all 5 bundles as i thought this thickness of ribbon is parfect for tags and with, dare i say it, Christmas coming up i thought i would make some special gift tags.

My next bargain was hairbands, i wanted to jazz some up to wear in my hair and these were 3 for £1 which was cheap enough for me to make a disaster of!!

But as i went to pay the man behind the stall gave me the ones beloww as a little freebie Wow! some people are so kind!!!

There were a few other bargains to be had, i got a scrabble game for 50p - i only wanted it for the letters so that was a great price!

I also got this wonderful A-Z, i looked through it and can not find a date of print but i think it will be lovely on cards and used to make flowers and embellishments

I am really loving this vintage-y look and was even thinking of making some little vintage embellishments to sell in a little etsy shop, what do you think? I am loving re-using and re-cycling at the mo and would love to put this into making some fab recycled embellies to adorn cards and layouts

Well that is a huge blog post to make up for my absence, it is my Birthday tomorrow, i will be 26!!! I don't really enjoy birthdays so much these days, I guess it is when i miss home the most, i was feeling really down earlier because my cards from my mum and grandad had not arrived, but earleir this evening a neighbour dropped them round as they had been delivered to his by mistake so I feel a little happier now!!

Bold Name Birthday Card Made Using My Cricut Expression

I am really loving doing these bold style cards at the moment, they are not always as quick as they look but i love the finished result!

The patterned card is one of my faves for this style or card and is from Payper Box, i filled 2 wallets of various card when i was at the NEC in March!

The card is quite big, it is A4 card folded long ways but looks like quite a substantial card instead of folding it in half short ways! the lettering is cut on my expression using DonJaun (one of my faves for lettering)

Finished off with some of my fave embellishments at the mo and polkadot ribbon (both from Hobbycraft)

A little collection of cards...

Here is a little collection of quick general cards, i often make a little batch of these when my box in the staffroom is looking a bit sad!

The embellishments are all from K & Co ranges and So is the patterned paper as i think it compliments well

I must do another batch of these over the summer holidays so my box stays stocked over the Autumn when i am working on Christmas!

The handbags are my fave and are always popular!
