Some Springy Summery Cards!

These cards were so easy to make! The stickers are Paperchase and instead of my usual 5/8" Xcut punch this is a slightly bigger Martha Stewart Version

I made a batch of 3 cards from one packet, i love the ladybug stickers the mostest!

The card for the squares is DCWV card that has almost a bazzil texture and is great for these cards as there is such a huge range of colours you can alwats find something to match!

Its a bit of a late blog post today as it is Rob's Nan's Funeral today, it will be a very sad day for so many people. Rest in peace Gwen xxx

An Embossing Folder is for Life...Not Just For Christmas!!

Just 'cos things are packaged or directed at Christmas dosen't mean that is all they can be used for!
Some dies and embossing folders can work out quite costly if just limited to Christmas designs.
The following pair of cards are made just using Christmas embossing folders!

You may recall that the lovely people over at Hobbycraft sent me 2 sets of embossing folders. This card is made using the Sizzix Winter Set #2 - 656353 all i have added is a few flat back gems.
Tthe 2 folders used are starry night for the background and Phrase, Warm Wishes for the sentiment.

This card could still be given at christmas but you can wish someone warm wishes any time of the year (esp in this country!!)

The second card below uses 2 more embossing folders

One folder is from the previous Winter Set #2 which is called Phrase, wishing you Joy, Love and Peace, I have just cut the heart out of the embossed image and 3d foam mounted it

The background uses the snowballs embossing folder from the Sizzix winter set - 656352 I love this embossing folder to bits and am sure i will wear it out!

The patterned strip is from some Anna Griffin Isabelle border stickers which are fab! They are such good quality, really thick and easy to use!

So remember an embossing folder is for life and not just for christmas!

Home Bargains - Crafty Shopping - Wall Stickers...

These seemed like a real bargain... they were £1.99 for this HUGE double sided pack!
To give you an idea of the size, the pack is on my desk chair!!

I really love the little house, tree and heart at the end of the alphabet!
You get one of each letter and number along with symbols and on the other side you get a illustrated word for each letter!

They are wall stickers and are printed on a clear backing, i inted to use mine for cards, even if i only make 2 or 3 it will be worth it, and X for xmas is a winner with me!!

I will show you what i come up with shortly... promise!

Pink Bind It All (BIA) FOR SALE

I am looking for a loving home for my pink bind it all, it has not had very much use at all and deserves a good home!
I have included some wires with it so you can play straight away!
There is also a DVD and the wire measure guide and the bits of info that came with it. I dont have the original box but will package it well!

There are 2 tiny clips missing, these were plastic and snapped off the first couple of times i used it :(
I don't think they did much, they were meant to keep the measure guide in place but it works the same without it!
It is also a little faded on one side where it has lived on the window-sill oops!
I would like £35 plus £6.00 recorded first class delivery - payment by paypal gift is ideal

email me if you fancy it lisa@craftfairies.com

Some Recycled Embellishments Using Sizzix Flower Layers #3

I love experimenting and making little embellishments, these are a bit of a recycled project, made from some sheet music from a car boot and the gold flower centres are from a ASDA necklace which i dismantled to give me loads of brad spacers!

The flowers are cut using a new sizzix sizzlits set called flower layers #3 which have 6 nice sized flowers for around £11 which is much cheaper than buying 6 punches!

I am thinking of opening up a little etsy shop and putting a few of my bag toppers and hand made flowers in it, do you think people would be interested?

A Sizzix Anniversary Card... For Him!

Mens cards are sooooooooo hard!! This card was not for Rob it was for a friend who had ordered it for her husband!
She was really pleased with it - thank goodness!!

The hearts are cut from a sizzix die (Hearts Primitive) and the stitching drawn on by hand

i have used some white rub-ons and some of my printed ribbon from holiday! I wanted the frayed look and attached it with some staples - oh so manly!

I adore this felt people trim from hobbycrafts sale bin!! it is so so cute!

more close up pics

A few heart shaped brads and hey presto!

Playing with my acrylic risers and photography tent!!!

Firstly, i need to apologise as i know some people will be horrified that i am blogging a christmas card in June!!! I have been making some cards for Hobbycraft using the papers and dies they have sent (which have a christmas theme!!) I am really pleased with the card though! And as it had some lovley colours i thought it would be a good one to experiment with some different photos!

So here are my experimental photos!

On black and on white!

I think the black is a little more forgiving with the light which i don't have a lot of in the craft room!!

I even chucked in a few (fake) diamonds but its a little too fussy for me!!!

I would really love to hear what you think of the photos!

The card was made using Anna Griffin Isabele papers and a embossing folder from the Sizzix "Winter Set" of embossing folders which I REALLY love!

Hope you like them
